The Moon Master is a short story by author Sherwood Smith. In the story, a young man called Jin Lei is traveling to a faraway place to see an old friend who has been imprisoned there for years. He meets along the way a young woman who claims to be another of his friend’s wives. They talk at length and she tells him of how her husband was locked away in a spell-bound cave with no release for over a hundred years. The Moon Master is a haunting story with a touching ending.
